Converting your harp into a new opportunity (or a new instrument!) shouldn’t be a headache. At Heber Valley Harps, I provide a streamlined, professional consignment process designed to get your instrument in front of the right players while I handle the logistics.
Here is how our partnership works:
We begin by documenting your harp’s story. We will record the make, model, serial number, and all included accessories such as benches, covers, or tuning keys.
Pricing: We will set a "Target Sale Price") based on market trends, quality of your instrument, etc), and a "Floor Price" (the absolute minimum you are willing to accept). I will never sell your instrument below that floor price without your express written consent.
The Contract: We’ll sign a formal Consignment Agreement (usually for an initial 6-month term) to ensure everyone is protected.
First impressions are everything. I ensure your harp is "stage-ready" for every potential buyer:
Maintenance: I perform routine cleaning and minor mechanical adjustments to ensure it plays beautifully during trials.
Strings: I replace broken or worn strings as needed so the harp always sounds its best.
Media: I handle photography and can even provide high-quality video recordings for remote buyers.
Your harp won't just sit in a corner. I leverage my position as an active studio director to drive interest through:
Direct Access: Your instrument is available for trials by students, local Utah Harpists, and virtual trials from anywhere in the US.
Digital Reach: I list your harp on the Heber Valley Harps website and promote it across social media and industry marketplaces.
Once we find the perfect buyer, I manage the negotiation and sales process.
Commission: Heber Valley Harps retains a competitive 10% commission of the final gross sale price.
Deductions: Any pre-authorized major repairs or the retail cost of replacement strings are simply deducted from the final sale proceeds.
Logistics: The purchaser is responsible for all shipping, crating, and insurance costs during transit to its new home.
